ICT in the classroom

At CBS Primary Dundalk, we actively integrate ICT into daily teaching and learning through the use of interactive whiteboards, iPads, and Chromebooks. This school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and supporting our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU. This funding was used to purchase Chromebooks and iPads, which have been instrumental in enhancing access to digital learning for all pupils. The devices support the development of digital skills, promote student engagement, and enable differentiated learning through educational apps and online platforms. We also use interactive whiteboards to deliver more engaging and inclusive lessons, helping to meet the needs of diverse learners in our classrooms.
